Clearing German customs

One more thought for the morning.

Anyone who knows me already knows that I get worked up about things that could happen before they actually happen. I was already worried about getting through customs. In my mind, I was worried about how I would answer the questions that the German customs authorities would ask me. Why are you in Germany? How long do you intend to stay? What are you going to do while you are here? I was very worried that I wouldn't be allowed into the country because I was just tagging along with Amy.
So we get up to the customs line and the gentleman in front of us is absolutely getting grilled by the customs official. Next thing I know, he has come out of his booth and is leading the guy to a holding area. As the official comes back to his booth, my blood pressure is shooting through the roof. He waves us over to him and asks for the passports. I am doing my best to prepare myself for the questions that are coming. He looks up at us and back down at the passports. He stamps the passports, hands them back to us and says welcome. He never asked a single question.

I can only hope everything else here runs that smoothly.  Kevin
